GOALS

I met with my colleagues this morning to share our goals for 2009. We reviewed 2008 and set about discussing our personal business targets for 2009. 

As always we headlined with the number we each need to make our worlds work and then we pushed into the more strategic issues that were important to us.

We discussed each person's area in detail in order to develop a deeper understanding of the importance of each goal and learn how we could support each other better. 

We used our own Team Solutions Model® to create our combined strategy and as usual marveled at how productive it made the use of our time.

We then shared lunch, some small talk and made personal commitments to each other about discipline and delivery.

Without goals there can't be any Teamwork - and without teamwork you can't produce the kind of energy and ideas needed to create truly special value.

Here's to creating more value in 2009 than we did in 2008 - you gotta have goals
